The thing is that the folks who think he’s a dunderhead ARE the folks who won’t get vaxxed. They cannot accept ANYTHING he says. And, even when Trump announces to “his” people that he’s had the booster, they boo at him. I think there’s really nothing we can do about them. They’ll get infected, some will die, and the survivors will remain convinced it was a conspiracy.
after the nastiest of Trump, Biden seems too nice and gentle for the debauched America left in MAGA’s wake. Of the two, i.e., covid 19 or Trump, one feels the worse to be all that is Trump. An absolute YUCK is he. The “F” used instead says much of the man.
I did my part on Thursday the Ninth. It messed my sleep one night, then I began feeling better by noon the next day. I’m looking forward to Christmas away from the house.
Trump cemented pandemic skepticism and vaccination resistance into the pliable minds of his easily manipulated flock. As is being repeatedly proven, the damage to American society that is his greatest accomplishment cannot easily be undone.
Joe.. needs to get personal and start calling out idiot governors and trump spokespersons that are denying the effectiveness of vaccinations and masks.
Maybe it’s time to stop being Sisyphus with a vaccine message. Let hospitals isolate those refusing to be vaxxed in the parking lots. Insurance companies can refuse payments also. Companies can enforce mandates if they choose.
WaPo opined yesterday that this last speech was his best. Maybe, he has delivered this same speech at least once a month since last year, so with that much practice I suppose by now it should be getting pretty good. Wish he would DO more about voting rights and box Manchin’s head around a couple of times.
We’re now involved in WWIII, the battle against Covid. “Get vaccinated and boosted” is our battle cry. And President Joe Biden is leading the world in defeating this great enemy. And just like in the other world wars there were naysayers, mostly on the Repub side, that would not get engaged with the battle. But, the clear majority of the nation, that is vaccinated, will engage with our President to win this war for all.
Hmmm. So just this week, Senator “Spartacus” Booker (D-NJ) and Sen. “Liawatha” Warren (D-MA), and Rep. Crow (CO) have been vaccinated, boosted, and voila they have it.
I have a good friend, a nurse, had Covid in March 2020, got the vaccine series earlier this year/late 2020. Got the booster a couple months back…….now had Covid again two weeks ago.
Now, I am very much pro vaccine. Loathe the idea of a mandate…….excusuuuuuuuse me, that word is now verboten, umm…“requirement” to work.
But there are so many posting here that make it seem like the vaccine is the end all be all. It isn’t. Just need that dose of reality.
Meanwhile, this nation, unlike Europe, the WHO, and several organizations has this thing about not acknowledging natural immunity. That does count for something. At least as much as being “fully vaccinated” whatever the f@ck that means this week.

Good advice, repeated ad nauseam until your ears bleed, is still good advice.

It’s not the person saying it that’s the problem. It’s the people that would rather die than take good advice from President Biden.

Would a tax deduction for being vaccinated be legal, or would it do any good, it would make some of us happy, anyway. Just a thought.

Why does “do the right thing” need to have its messaging changed? And how can one become more clear than that?

In some countries if you wind up in the hospital and you are not vaccinated you are responsible for the full cost of the hospital stay.
