The true meaning of Christmas goes much further back that two millenniums. It is a northern hemisphere tradition connected to the returning of the solar power after 6 months of diminishment.
The meaning of Christmas is caring for your fellow man and spreading harmony throughout the world. Christmas can be celebrated by just about anyone, Christianity or not.
Okay, I admit it! I love the 2nd panel! Where do I get my framed copy? I would love that in my front yard as a nativity scene. LOLAnd every time I see George I think, ‘oh cool, George is back!’I think Lewis and Fry have done well this week. Got us all thinking about the season.Or I should say, George has got us thinking.
The only problem with all the debate is that Jesus was born in September at the Feast of Tabernacle. Gospel of John, " He became flesh and tabernacled/tented amongst us."

Christmas is the historical celebration of the birth of God the Son, Emmanuel, Jesus Christ, regardless of secular/historical corruption.
But, today, the cartoon was funny.

Well, except there seems to be baby Jesus in the manger before Christmas, I’d say it could be Episcopalian.
Come back on the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi and get your dinosaur blessed, squirrel, raccoon, and tortoise too.
