Is that Justice, hiding behind a door? Our big religious leaders have been totally silent lately. Either they approve, or haven’t the moral backbone to voice disapproval. Either way, shameful.
Do you feel safer when you see people walk around with rapid fire weapons slung over their shoulders? Do you feel grateful that (mostly) men (mostly white) have appointed themselves guardians of public order?
Or do you feel their purpose is largely to intimidate, to strut, to threaten, to show off? Do you feel they are just looking, itching for a chance to shoot somebody, anybody? Do you feel the simmering heat of hate?
And do you see this in any other country in the world? Anywhere? ‘Cause a I’ve traveled to over 50 and my answer is never.
so these laws in states with GQP legislatures, backed by NRA campain money, say someone can shoot you even though you are unarmed and simple say they think you were a threat to them, glad I live don’t in one of them
If you think that the Rittenhouse verdict was unjust, you did not see the trial. All you heard was the propaganda. Rittenhouse shot 3 men who had originally fled from. They assaulted him, they tried to take his gun and the one who lived admitted to pointing his gun at Rittenhouse’ head. All three were clear cases of self-defense and the prosecution only could allege that the others were acting in self-defense because they saw someone with a gun. This is based on an assumption that if I have a gun, then I plan on killing someone. This is despite the fact that Americans own 434 million guns. If everyone with a gun was committing murder, then there would be no one left alive in the US.
But somehow that was the only case they could make against why Rittenhouse shot those three men. Weird thing is that all three men looked white but I kept hearing on the news how Rittenhouse was deliberately hunting down black men.
The Rittenhouse trial was a mark of injustice. Justice would never have charged him with a crime since all the evidence was in his favor. Injustice was having that political lynching in the first place.

Will just encourage others to shoot whom they don’t like and knowing they will get off.

It’s looking like lady justice may get in her licks when the families of the victims get KR into their civil trials. He’s not out of the woods yet.

The jury had to follow Wisconsin’s amazingly elastic law. Read about it:

Interesting article. In Kyle Rittenhouse’s case, no.
