    1. KR admits he traveled to a town where he didn’t live as an armed vigilante.

    2. KR admits he shot 3 people, killing 2 and wounding 1.

    3. KR wants the jury to blame the victims for scaring him.

Self defense has two burdens, however. The first, is that he was defending himself after being pushed to the ground. It’s the second burden that’s important here: he inserted himself into a dangerous situation which led to his alleged need to defend himself. He was outside of his own town and state, with a an illegally obtained weapon, in a highly volatile situation. 17 or not, it isn’t much of a stretch to say that he did not NEED to be in that dangerous situation. He could have simply stayed at home.

The prosecutor is a hero and should be put in charge of the FBI. He proved that he values the truth (that Rittenhouse was defending himself) more than he values a conviction.

Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes. Rittenhose is going to beat these stupid murder charges. Heck he might walk away with a hand shake and a Oopsy from the Judge.

Seems that our ‘law enforcement’ and our ‘justice system’ may be on trial….

I see it as Rittenhouse THEN looking to use his rifle “in the real world” and NOW being repentant.

The Charges were so narrow & harsh for a spur of the moment shooting. Just heard the DA asked if he could go for Lesser Charges the Judge will consider over the weekend. The wheels are off the Case right now.

America. Where you can start a fight, get beat then gun down the person you started a fight with and claim self defense.

Spur of the moment ? Seems to me he went out looking for an excuse to use his spiffy new toy. As he said, because it’s “cool looking”.

A minor deliberately traveling a considerable distance to be part of a riot with a loaded weapon and 30 round clip seems very premeditated to me, and not at all ‘spur of the moment’.

    What’s the big deal?

    .

Rittenhouse only killed two people, presumably libtards, and wounded another. He was, after all, angry. Not only that, but he was acting in service to The Messiah.

    .

It’s just the latest example of It’s OKAY If A Republican* Does It.

    .

It also shows how if them libtards don’t want to get shot, they shouldn’t leave their house. We have the second half of the second amendment, after all.

His tearless display was a ploy for sympathy to the jury!

They have now deployed 500 soldiers to the city for when the lesser charge or mistrial is declared.

The judge is a biased loon!

This is justice today in America! The killers walk and the victims lie in state…

Yeah, KR is guilty as sin.. Coming from Chicago to protect property that was not his, carrying an assault like rifle and running around like the fool he is. He is as convincing as Aaron Rogers was.

He came to help with multiple first aid kits to do what our police weren’t allowed to do by craven politicians

I don’t usually jump on the cartoonist, but this is too “right republican”. The issue is the much touted freedom to assemble and wether willful murder is a crime if you are white at an assembly.

An acquital will have serious repercussions in the US. The thought process being “I’m going to bring my firearm to a demonstration, and because I’m afraid that someone might try to take it away from me (and use my gun to cause me harm) then I’m am justified in using it before that happens.”

Sort of a “pre-emptive” stand your ground defense.

Once KR was there the “He shouldn’t even been there it wasn’t his state.” argument is moot. He was there and he was attacked by someone wielding a skateboard. The skateboard guy came up to KR and started swinging. Was KR a threat to the skateboard guy in the moments before he started swinging the skateboard? No, he wasn’t, KR’s mere presence did not constitute a threat. KR then defended himself as would ANY one of us by using what he had available to stop the threat.
