A necklace? I hope Ava Luna’s mom puts that $10,000 into a Coverdell account for her college education or an annuity. A $10K fixed annuity with 6% interest that starts today would be worth nearly $103K in 40 years, when Ava Luna (maybe) turns 50. I don’t think a necklace will increase tenfold in value like that.
