Yep call the cops unfortunately thanks to BLM most all police departments have been downsized & do not respond to call thefts!! Also most liberal run cities & states have decided to release criminals rather than incarcerate them!!! Welcome to Biden’s plan of police action!!!
Rita suffered some hard times to be free of her mother. But somewhere along the line I suspect she became just like mom. We can’t escape our parents and that’s too bad sometimes.
Car alarms have almost entirely lost their usefulness as theft deterrent. Smash and grab artists will either remove the vehicle or the contents before law enforcement arrives. Plus, there are still too many car alarms that can be set off by wind, cats, or mischievous children for anyone to take them seriously. To me, the worst are the whoops made by remote locking. Most can be set to just flash the lights instead to tell you it’s working. Do you really need to tell the whole neighborhood I’VE LOCKED MY CAR?
Car alarms should be illegal. They are extremely disruptive and totally pointless. They are usually set off by the car’s owner or something totally innocuous. I’m pretty sure thieves know how to avoid setting them off, too.
I have a question for Scott: Several years back there was a throwback that showed new intern Rita first meeting Ed and someone else, and she is commenting that someday she’ll be their boss. Of course the most memorable part of that panel was the incredible “big hair” on both Rita and Ed and perhaps the other person as well. Rita’s hair was quite abundant then too, but a much different style. Does that fit in at all to the “present” series of young Rita throwbacks, or was that in a different timeline or perhaps an alternate dimension?
I remember triggering car alarms by walking through the grocery store parking lot back when alarms were an aftermarket thing. People could adjust the sensitivity and often did it wrong.

Someone is clearly stealing a car. Call the police. Be a good citizen.

I had a similar problem when I rented a downtown apartment with a nearby fire station (that I hadn’t known about).
