Trombones are real. Trombonists? It’s up for debate.

They’re real….and they’re spectacular!

If someone had told me that they could illustrate over 100 different types of trombone, tuba, and euphonium, I would have said “Get out of here, man, there’s no way you can do that!”

But here we are.

“This is my flugelhorn. It’s for horning flugels.”

Where’s the Serpent jokes?

And I always thought Dr. Seuss was making up his fantastic instruments – guess not! Gorgeous artwork!

Really slick, Mr Peterson, but what is that thing that looks like a clump of enoki mushrooms? And how can a palm-sized hooter be a “low brass”?

Wow! How long does it take to do each drawing? I imagine you work from photos; do you ever have the real item in front of you?

Lennie, I still have my trombone my folks bought me around 1965. I saw an ad the other day for a trombone that had keys like a baritone horn or trumpet, but it was shaped like a regular trombone. What’s up with that? BTW, I also played the baritone horn because schools always had them but no one to play them.

And yes, I love the drawings of exotic instruments.
