Supply and demand. Isn’t that what the conservatives have been hawking for years. Let the market set the price. Now if someone had just left a pandemic response system in place….

We are finally having to pay the price for the Incredible mismanagement of the Economy from 2016 until 2020.

Another RW meme by a cartoonist that has no concept of supply and demand. During the pandemic, people stayed home, creating decreased demand and also people being unable to work in order to slow the spreading of Covid. This causes businesses to to also slow/stop production to save money and reduce inventory.

When people got vaccinated and were able to resume working, demand increased faster than businesses were able to compensate on slower footing, creating shortages and causing price hikes (supply and demand). unfortunately, supply will lag until enough people are vaccinated and able to resume work, thus increasing supply and reducing costs.

Most of the lag right now are in hesitancy in getting vaccinated, which is mostly in Red states.

So sure, Loony Lisa, blame Biden for something that started under the Last Occupant and is being propagated by RWNJs refusing to get vaccinated and lowering the infection rate. It’s a lazy dodge.

Lisa and the other Trump Disciples have no analysis skills for them to realize that the current supply chain issues are a result of the pandemic.

    .

You remember maybe, Lisa: “I don’t take responsibility for ANY of it!”

“Anyone who wants a test can get a test.”

“We do too much testing! You do more testing, you get more cases!”

and, of course, the ever-popular “We WANT them infected!”

From Steve Cortes: The Biden Blue Christmas is heading this way. So far, his tenure in the White House has been marked by successive, self-created scandals, especially at the southern border and the totally botched exit from Afghanistan. But the most lasting, broadest policy blunder of all is the Biden economic crisis that will culminate in a holiday season of shortages, frustration, and economic malaise. The latest data points showcase the severity of inflation’s surge, with last week’s Core PCE (personal consumption expenditure index) reaching the highest level in 30 years. That number validates the earlier consumer price index readings of June through August at 5.3% or above, the highest inflation levels since 2008. Compare that pricing spike with the end of the Trump term, when the 45th president handed off to Joe Biden a tame inflation rate of only 1.4% for January 2021. In fact, even as America aggressively reopened from pandemic restrictions in mid-2020, Trump engineered an economic recovery with inflation at 1.4% or lower for the last six months of his administration.

Per Steve Moore, “Joe Biden was crowing about the wage gains for workers and, ‘You know they’re up four percent.’ Well, yeah, but if inflation is six percent, your paycheck’s actually shrinking.”

Moore explained that those hurt the most by inflation are the ones living on fixed incomes and making under $50,000 a year.

As inflation increases, there are still 10 million job openings in the U.S. that aren’t being filled because people are being paid to not work, he said. After talking to the CEO of FedEx, which is “one of the 50 largest companies in the world, with over 100,000 employees,” Moore found out that they have 20,000 job openings.

“I estimate that if we had cut the payroll tax last year, rather than increased all the unemployment benefits, we’d have about five million more people working today,” Moore said.

“All of this debt and all this spending and all the taxing that Biden is doing will create a kind of hangover effect,” Moore warned. “And that hangover effect is going to be, I think, felt next year or in 2023.”

You listen to Steve Moore? The guy who "has often expressed support for some variation of a gold standard. In 2015 he declared, “We have got to get rid of the Federal Reserve and move towards a gold standard in this country!” (Few economists support a gold standard.)And, during "a 2016 debate on the minimum wage, Moore stated, “I’m a radical on this. I’d get rid of a lot of these child labor laws. I want people starting to work at 11, 12.” This guy is a piece of work for sure.

It took two or three years for the economy to normalize from the disruptions of World War II, and that was when a third of the population didn’t deny that there had been a war.

Should I pre-order Miranda Devine’s book for the all the disillusioned Trump haters? The inside story of the laptop that exposed the president’s dirtiest secret. When a drug-addled Hunter Biden abandoned his waterlogged computer at a Mac repair shop in Delaware in the spring of 2019, just six days before his father announced his candidacy for the United States presidency, it became the ticking time bomb in the shadows of Joe Biden’s campaign. The dirty secrets contained in Hunter’s laptop almost derailed his father’s presidential campaign and ignited one of the greatest media coverups in American history. This is the unvarnished story of what’s really inside the laptop and what China knows about the Bidens, by the New York Post journalist who brought it into the open.It exposes the coordinated censorship operation by Big Tech, the media establishment, and former intelligence operatives to stifle the New York Post’s coverage, in a chilling exercise of raw political power three weeks before the 2020 election.A treasure trove of corporate documents, emails, text messages, photographs, and voice recordings, spanning a decade, the laptop provided the first evidence that President Joe Biden was involved in his son’s ventures in China, Ukraine, and beyond, despite his repeated denials. This intimate insight into Hunter’s dissolute lifestyle shows he was incapable of holding down a job, let alone being paid tens of millions of dollars in high-powered international business deals by foreign interests, unless he had something else of value to sell—which of course he did. He was the son of the vice president who would go on to become the leader of the free world.

Maybe it’s time we stopped buying juice boxes and went back to buying juice concentrate, watering it down more than the instruction say, and putting it in reusable bottles. Juice boxes are convenient for lunch boxes and for providing snacks, but they are very inefficient and are the most expensive way you can buy juice for your child to drink.

PELOSI …. “The Build Back Better is 3 baskets: It’s climate, health, jobs, security, and moral responsibility.”BIDEN… “If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s still a 30% chance we’re going to get it wrong.”BIDEN…“Look, John’s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: Jobs. J-O-B-S.”

    Liberal math.
