It’s disappointing that Leonard Nimoy passed away. That would have been even better. The first Space Shuttle was named ‘Enterprise’ for the TV series ship after a huge write-in campaign by Star Trek fans. Quite a bit of influence by a science fiction TV show that the network almost didn’t run, and only ran 3 years total.
