I hooked up an industrial “dimmer” to my cat’s electrically heated bed. As I turned it down, the cat gradually became a little round ball with paws tucked under tail. When I turned it up the cat stretched to maximum surface area to radiate the excess heat. Cats have heat management almost as good as humans. Cats evolved in the desert.
