I think dogs enjoy camping trips more than humans do. A chance to get back to their roots from way back out in the wild.
I recently saw a picture on line of a tent with a small section walled off for the dog, (like a dog house). It was tucked into the corner with a separate door.
Yeah, they’re gonna need a 10 man tent.
