Two of my 3 adult daughters still live in town and we have a standing Friday lunch date. I am thrilled they still like to hang with Dad. So our rule is we split the lunch obligations – they pick the place and I pay! That’s the law!
Yeah, I excused myself at the restaurant to go use the restroom and circled around quietly to the waiter and paid for the meal. I was not expecting my dad to find that outrageous, but he did. Good times. Gotcha, Dad!
