Bok, of course, doesn’t have a grasp of how interconnected things are. So here’s a brief tutorial:
1: The economic world is interconnected. Very.
2: Capitalists don’t give a rat’s patootie where the money is coming from. Could be a communist, a capitalist, a consortium of nuns or a dog hiding on the internet (because on the internet, nobody can tell). All they care about is whether it harms or helps their growth.
3: Neither do communists, by the way.
4: So when a really big entity looks like it’s going to default on several $billion worth of loans, they worry about what will happen when all that floating debt comes crashing down.
5: And when capitalists worry, they tend to sell stock because they love (and worry about) money more.
And that is (part of) what’s going on. Other parts include worry about the longer economic outcomes from Covid Delta and a big one in the US: What is the Federal Reserve Board going to do?
I see Baghdad Bok is reaching back to the Tailgunner Joe days. The thing is, China is an authoritarian State, much like Russia, North Korea, and many others. “Communist” and “Socialist” are just labels to cover it up, much like the labels “Democratic”, “Peoples”, and “Republic”. The more labels strung together, the less that country is actually like that.
Sorry, Brainless Bok. China is run by a CAPITALIST; there are no communist nations in the world, and never have been. Communism is IMPOSSIBLE to implement for a population larger than a Commune (hence the name); no more than about 300-400 people, and that’s only if the commune is extremely fastidious about keeping greed and selfishness out of their system.
The only one who was stupid enough to think that communism could be applied to a larger group than a commune was Karl Marx, and he was a bloody idiot, as his many critics pointed out for his entire life.
At best, MARXISM is the closet thing to communist that any nation has been in the past 6000 years, and that Marxist nation was only Marxist for all of 3-4 years before exactly what Marx’s critics said would happen, happened — the nation (The Soviet Union) flipped polarity entirely to far-right FASCISM as the “People’s Party” stopped serving the people and became the new “Elite”; the same as the indolent monarchy the Russian Revolution had defeated.
Every single nation that falsely uses the name “Communist” is everything but. They are all Fascist Plutocratic Oligarchies, where there are 2 tiers of people — “The Party”; a tiny minority that controls everything, and uses the taxes of the majority to treat themselves to Socialism and Hedonism, while everyone else suffered Depredation, Austerity and Poverty.
That is the reality of every country that falsely calls itself “communist”.
It’s also the reality of one other nation that pretends that it hates the concept of “communism”; event though a lot of people in it have no idea what communism, Marxism and socialism actually are.
That nation is the United States of America, and it is more like China and North Korea than it is unlike them, by a massive margin.

The only thing wrong with the U.S. economy is the failure of the Republican Party to play Santa Claus.

Russia was ’The union of Soviet Socialist Republics". They were not republics, they were not socialist, and they were not unified, except by force.
