But we have local elections and those are important too.

If we would put strict time and money limits on elections, they wouldn’t be so bad.

Votes count. Don’t skip the smaller issue elections. Why? Campaigns for school boards are important enough that you can see where downplaying them for decades has gotten us. Start turning things back to where they belong at the grassroots level.

Yes, we just had one in California. The results were predictable and satisfying (to an overwhelming majority of its citizens).

Canada just had its election today and I voted. So much for Fall.

Russia had an election, and the opposition went to jail. A neat, though one sided method of picking a leader.

If there is an off-year election in your state, by all means vote! My hope is that we Democrats and independent swing voters have internalized the importance of showing up for every election (not just the presidential races). Especially since many (if not most) of the GOP base will crawl over broken glass to vote on election day.
