It’s sad how relatable this is.

When I’m beset by this particular monster, I deliberately think of something else, like going thru the alphabet, listing one character per letter, from all my fav books. Or names of flowers, people names, cities, etc. Doesn’t much matter what, you just keep concentrating on the trivia list & the monster slinks away, scaly tail between it’s legs, defeated by being completely ignored. Takes a lil practice, but worth the sleep that comes from it.

I hate waking up in the middle of an anxiety storm. That’s such an accurate picture of how it feels.

I killed that monster a long time ago. When disabled and housebound, time is irrelevant.
