My Mac hosed on the Big Sur OS update for that reason, not enough room on the hard drive for all those temporary installation files. Had to wipe the hard drive clean first. Backups are your friend, folks.
My phone runs KaiOS and I’ve had one update from AT&T. It did reduce the battery usage in standby. It can go a whole day on a charge now. The ad said “Up to 240 hours”. I guess 24 hrs falls in the range.
