Nobody completely controls their own life. We agree on certain individual restraints like stopping for red lights at intersections, not stealing from our neighbors, or killing them, etc.

Kelley firmly believes that food and rubber rationing during WWII was a government over-reach infringement on civil liberties!

Because Steve Kelley is part of the “Dumbest Generation”!

Anyone like Kelley, who feels that the government has too much control should move to a country that has no rules and regulations.

I would very much like to get an official world-recognized vaccination passport, for all the benefits that may afford me in the US and abroad. Why do Republicans want so much to deny me this, even when optional?

Where is any of this more than just a federal recommendation? States use this information to make their own decisions. Yes or no, good or bad.

This country has a long history of forcing behaviors during health crises. George Washington forced his troops to get inoculated for small pox. Several cities forced evacuations, quarantines, and other measures during the yellow fever pandemic of the 1790s. Same is true for the cholera epidemic of the 1830s – which including razing sections of certain cities. The government’s job is literally to ensure the health and well-being of the citizenry! The anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers are anti-American.

If you want to stretch it some – most landlords will require you to sign a lease before they rent to you. That lease usually has many rules as to what you can and can’t do. What will you do if there are stipulations that you don’t like or you have no intention of abiding by. Who is in the right? You because you are exercising your right to freedom, or the landlord trying to provide a cooperative setting for all tenants?

The best form of government is a dictatorship. The worst form of government is a dictatorship. It depends on who the dictator is.

I’ve had some requests to share specifically what I’m seeing in my ICU in Kentucky. It is the exact same thing people are seeing in ICUs across the country. 1. We are filling up with COVID patients, and fast. 2. They are getting younger and younger. Our COVID ECMO patients right now are in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. 3. We have a waiting list for COVID ECMO because we are out of ECMO machines. Being 50 right now means you’re too old to even make it on the waiting list because they prioritize based on age and how likely we are to be able to save them. We are dealing with significantly limited resources. 4. About 97% of our hospitalized COVID patients are unvaccinated. All of our COVID ECMO patients are unvaccinated.5. Health care providers are TIRED, not to mention BROKEN-HEARTED and FRUSTRATED that we are drowning and it is PREVENTABLE. Please, we are begging you, get vaccinated if you can. Don’t wait to get the delta or fancy new lambda variant and need an ICU bed. Please don’t be another patient who had to learn the hard way. I know a lot of you found my fb lives helpful last year when I was in the thick of it. If it would be helpful, I’ll do another one, now that we are back on the thick of it. My emotions are raw, but if I can help convince just one person to get vaccinated, I will gladly cry on fb live. Let me know, friends. (a message from a nurse who is dealing with the results of people demanding their “freedom” to do as they please, without regard to the welfare of others, even their own family)

Freeing Britney won’t protect anyone from a deadly pandemic. Using masks and vaccines definitely will, and some people need the pressure of governmental authority or private sector economic pressure to comply.

Kelley and his ilk are the first to complain about government control until there is a salmonella outbreak, unrest in the streets, or have their livelihood threatened … then it’s all “I thought the government was supposed to protect us!”

Listen to the nurses. “You have the RIGHT to not get vaccinated but if you DO make that choice, then you have the DUTY to maintain social distance, mask, stay isolated as much as possible…”

The Feds continually try to infringe on states rights. Right now, they want to control election laws. The Constitution clearly says the elections should be conducted by the states.

Kelley, you insufferable twit, why don’t you start driving over the speed limit everywhere, and without a seatbelt? Why bother stopping at red lights? Who needs traffic laws? Or shoes and shirts in the 7/11? Why do we bother with anything anymore- as long as we have our precious personal freedoms?
