Ex-wife and ex-girlfiends all expected me to be able to read their minds. Present wife of 26 years knows that I am stupid and socially inept and has no trouble telling me what she wants. The best part about that is she accepts and loves me for who I am and not for what she knows she can’t change me into.
I use to have conversations with my first wife that involved a lot of silences while she “gamed” all the possible reactions I might have to any response she would make. Life’s too short.
