My husband has spinal stenosis and sitting in a kitchen chair is very uncomfortable for him. We have eaten in our recliners with tv trays or lap tables for years.
My sister-in-law complained that my granddaughter was being rude when she put her head on the table after announcing she was tired. Her grandkids either eat with their electronics in front of them or grab the food off the plate and run back to the TV or game. I guess we all have our filters.

We donated our dining set to CHKD thrift and turned our dining area into my wife’s arts and craft room. Two trays in the living room cost $12.
