Why can’t we just be honest? “I don’t, but I understand I am at the mercy of the needs of your ego and lack of ability to adapt to modern life.”

There are in fact advantages and efficiencies to working in the office. One isn’t necessarily better than the other.

Given the current shortage of workers, I think employers who don’t support telecommuting (when possible) will lose out. I HOPE SO.

My wife works from home now, and she really enjoys it. And she was told by her posses that it was permanent.

The main issue with work from home is the IT security threat. Hard enough to protect the company IT systems when they are all in one place, impossible to do if everyone works at home or a coffee shop or a park or wherever.

Now if IT security was taught to kids at an early age, then things could be different. Teach them when they are young enough not to think they know everything and your good to go.
