“White Supremacy” seems to me to be more inferiority complex above all else.

To GOP Congressmen, threatening somebody with a flagpole is actually just being patriotic… and handling a flagpole like a weapon does not make it a weapon…

To the Former Guy, if he hears any pushback about members of his core base, he says that guy with the Confederate flag is part of Antifa…

Interestingly enough, Mr. Baggett makes a “valid” point, above. At one time “democrats” were on the side of states rights and slavery.

Historically, he make a good case, and if the world were a static “thing” he would be right even today.

Unfortunately for John, the world keeps changing, and, thanks in part to Tricky Dick Nixon, most of the democratic bigots and racists moved from the democratic party to the republican party in the sixties and seventies/

Moscow Mitch even gives voice to what was once a democratic clarion call of “states rights”.

“States Rights” is the last vestige of the old Jim Crow South and is the mantle proudly worn by the republican party.

“States Rights” is the argument put forth by the Confederacy to justify their departure from the Union.

To my mind, any argument of “states Rights” is merely an argument to justify the dissolution of the Union (which the republican party so desperately desires!)
