Here in Cincinnati Ohio, a news report says the average number of days a house is on the market before it is sold is 2-3 days. You read that right. Days, not weeks. And normally above asking price.
We just bought a month ago. Found a house we liked, immediately met with realtor to check it out, mad offer a bit over asking, no stipulations, as-is, and got the house. Key was to act fast and no place any requirements on the seller. We made out pretty good, too.

Pretty much! It’s definitely a seller’s market right now.

Keep an eye on who is buying the houses.

Commiting to a purchase you can not afford long term is bound to end poorly.

Locally, many of the houses that are on the market have stayed on for far longer than they did just a month or two ago.
I think the sellers are way overpricing their homes, and people are balking.
That’s just in my very local area. I hope it spreads, the youngsters I work with can’t afford a pot to p!ss in, even in the “blue collar” towns.

Are the banks and finance companies lending 130% of actual value? They have done it before, and we, the taxpayers paid to clean up the mess.
