I’m not surprised about Heart’s reaction to Mrs. Angelini considering her age right now.
She reminds me of my youngest daughter’s eye rolls and mouthed “whatevers” when she was that age.
She just wouldn’t sit still and try to listen to her own grandmothers’ expriences during the war, or the depression, or the food rationing, or the extreme wheather, or school bullies, whenevever the topic came up; as one grandmother, or the other, might remember some tid bit when the kids started to whine about this or that…
I would have liked to have heard more about my family in the olden days but, there were only a few around to tell anything. And the stories were so scattered. My father, who was older when I was born, would start to tell something and then go off track. It wasn’t until I was older that I could put facts together. It is so sad that these young people of today don’t want to hear our “old people” stories.
