I upgrade my battery by getting a new phone.

I agree with this. However much a battery costs, it’s much cheaper to replace than a whole handset.;D

What if a new phone costs less than the battery?

It’s really hard to find a new flip phone that will still get internet. And, I like to check my email. But, I’ll settle for a flip phone without email, because it’s small enough to fit in my pocket, the screen in protected and not a huge nuisance looking actively for something to crack itself on so I have to get a new one. What I would really like is a flip phone style smart phone, but there is no such thing as far as I know— wait I did see one, but it cost $300.

Much easier than learning what new things the same buttons do.

The last time I had to get a new phone, I picked the one that took the best pictures — so my ‘camera’ is also a text messenger service. I could never get my previous cell phones answered before the call went to voice mail anyway — it was either in the bottom of my purse or on a table in another room because it was too big to carry around in a pocket. So my friends (and doctors’ offices) know to text me and I don’t have to worry about dashing to answer the phone when it rings.

Except when their provider says they are discontinuing their 3G service. Anybody know where I can get a good DURABLE flip phone for a decent price? AT&T has a freebie but it looks like it would break if you closed it too hard.

The batteries don’t wear out as often as the phone companies burn them up so you’ll buy a new phone. Just ask your IPhone pals

If all you need is a phone, then all you need is a new battery. Rechargeable isn’t forever – 3-5 years max.
