Absolutely no reason in this day and age to have an all white reading list. A lot of excellent authors from all cultures and ethnicities to choose from in American literature not to mention those writing in other countries. I was in University before i was exposed to Toni Morrison, Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston amongst others and i was a book worm who read a lot of books while growing up.
