Think how many lives would have been saved if we had had a president with brains last year.

At least President Biden is setting goals as working hard to try and meet them. If people are to stupid or gullible to do the right thing, Biden can’t be blamed for that.

People act like idjits. As a software developer, I’ve had that fact shoved into my face time after time after time. Apparently vaccines are even more likely to trigger the syndrome than software.

He’s working hard to help. Leave it to the QOP to deliberately mess it up. They don’t have more than three sulci each (or in toto).

And just what is the level of vaccination right now, huh? And where’s Mitch and the gang to encourage people to get their shots?

Here’s the thing. Some states are going to reach that goal. Most southern, mostly read states are going to have a surge in Covid cases instead.

It has been said, “You can’t fix stupid.”

In the 1950’s when I was a young child, people, especially parents were terrified of polio. No one knew where it originated and although 6,600 people died of it between 1950 and 53 when a vaccine was finally developed no one hesitated to get it.Now we have 600,000 people dying in under 2 years and there are so many people who won’t get vaccinated. Also when I traveled abroad in the 60’s I carried a yellow vaccination passport and never thought of it as anything other than what it was, a way to get where I wanted to go.

Looks a lot more promising than under Herr Gropingfuror’s total failure to deal with the pandemic and getting the vaccine rolled out.

Ever had that moment when what you could have said to someone came to you a few hours later?

The other day I met and chatted with someone new to the neighbourhood. Found out he was 23 yrs old, so a young whipper-snapper compared to myself. Don’t know how it came about, but he expressed his exasperation of our government shutdown of businesses and his not going to get the vaccine.

Came to me several hours later, the way I could have responded:

" Mmmm, let me see now – - – DEADLY DISEASE! In this hand, a vaccine and 95% protection, and in this hand, do nothing with 0% protection. . . Absolutely correct you are, take the 0% course of inaction!!"

Biden said ‘this’ after he slammed Trump’s ‘Phony Populism’ & a derelict GOP at NATO Summit.

The President then started to articulate an inconvenient truth of a dangerous Republican Party.

“I think it’s appropriate to say that the Republican Party is vastly diminished in numbers,” Biden said. “The leadership of the Republican Party is fractured, and the Trump wing of the party is the bulk of the party. But it makes up a significant minority of the American people. It is a shock and surprise that what’s happened in terms of the consequence of President Trump’s phony populism has happened. And it is disappointing that so many of my Republican colleagues in the Senate who I know, know better have been reluctant to take on, for example, an investigation.”

I used to wonder if there was an upper limit (or lower as the case may be) to the stupidity, extreme self-centeredness and willful ignorance of the anti-vaxxers, not to mention those morons who believe all the idiocy put forth on the internet. I no longer wonder if there is a limit-now I only wonder just how far it can be stretched

Still more evidence that COVID-19 is on its way to becoming a predominantly Republican disease

Once again, then, we’re seeing the predicted real-world results from a buffoonish and incompetent Dear Leader figure attempting to pretend his way out of a world health crisis while stoking paranoia about actual health professionals and safety measures. We previously learned that masks have indeed been working quite well at stopping pandemic spread, thus turning Donald Trump’s anti-mask fetishes into another way for his party to kill off its own voters.

The COVID-19 pandemic is getting closer and closer to becoming a primarily Republican disease in this country. It can never be a fully Republican disease because the virus does not verify voting status, when traveling from one person’s cough to the next person’s lungs. But in places with high vaccination rates, herd immunity may soon come close to eradicating the virus by giving it few places to viably spread.

In pockets of vaccine resistance, meanwhile, whether it be Q-styled conspiracists, avid Trump supporters who still believe the pandemic is a hoax, or deplorables whose principle objection to getting vaccinated is that it appears to be what the liberals and book-learners want them to do, Americans are going to continue to die.

Yeah, blacks, Hispanics and the hippie left wing are not onboard with this. That said, none of my right wing family, friends and relationships are against getting vaccinated. None, zero, zip, nada. But, more than enough on the left aren’t getting vaccinated.
