Even though I was running late this afternoon, when I went out to my car I was buzzed by two hummingbirds engaged in a territorial squabble—they zoomed past my head with just inches to spare, startling me. So I stopped to watch the defending champion return to the flowers of my butterfly garden, where he was joined by a dancing monarch butterfly. My appointment would just have to wait a few minutes longer while I enjoyed my front yard floor show!
I work in retail, in the garden section. One morning, I just happened to be watering the butterfly bushes when a beautiful, black swallow tail butterfly, landed in the bush that I was watering…I was so distracted that it took me a few seconds to realize that I was now watering my foot!

I love and so value the times I get to watch my animals play with total abandon, no fear, no stress, just… joy :)

See Lucy, on any day where she’s in the outfield.

That’s ok. He was facing the wrong way and probably would’ve gotten it in the back of the head.

And the official strip handbook does not stop turning adults into children and enjoy sheer bliss.

I remember a T-ball game coming to a screeching halt because one of the outfielders found a toad.

Yes, it does: it’s called an error, and you won’t stay in the game very long if it is a persistent issue.

A Bob Lind song comes to mind.
