Ah yes, the pre-internet era when you had to go to the library. Nowadays, you could find tons of youtube video’s that explain in detail how to do card tricks.
This would have been my first suggestion. I went to the library and checked out 4-5 books on juggling to see how they tell people how to juggle. I found that they all gave pretty much the same instructions. Now I can tell people, “If you forget what we’ve been working on for the last half hour, just visit the library and check out a book on juggling.” with some confidence.
