My recently deceased wife and I did that many years ago, then life happened. I became a caregiver for a friend who had a stroke 12 years ago, 5 years ago her mother who has dementia moved in and we never had any more “alone” time. Sadly now I am alone in too many ways, caring for MIL alone and being alone myself now.
