One time I climbed King Mountain (highest peak in the coast range) with a group of other addle-pated adults. Steepest trail I ever climbed. So steep that on the way down, the pressure of my feet on the front of my boots made all my toenails pop off! Did I get a surprise when I got home and took my boots and socks off!

Worth it! We all do stupid things to be with our kids. But I have to say, my kids have done stupid things to be with me, so no complaints on this end.

Lucky for Adam and Katy that the hill wasn’t defended.
