In other words, dad doesn’t know jack.

Oy!

It’s sad that generations of new drivers are growing up without knowing how to change a flat … Sadder still, that manual transmission’s are also becoming harder to find … :’(

that’s the first thing I do when I get a new car is check the jack and the second thing is to buy a full size spare tire I will not use one of those doughnut spares

Does he also believe he has a spare tire (besides the one he always has with him)?

Reminds me of when my granddaughter got her first car. No one looked to see if that hunk of junk even had a jack. The used car dealer really pulled a slick one on her. Never trust a used car dealer.

I could change a tire if I could get the nuts off. I’m not weak by any means, but I am no match for those pneumatic wrenches. So I just call AAA.

I prefer to believe in Casper.

If someone told you it was a ‘magic jack’, would you believe that, too? I don’t think so.

Similar to the so called flotation devices under our airline seats?

Good example! I bought my car brand new 15 years ago. I know that it came with a jack tucked away under the flap in the storage area in back, but I’ve never seen it.
