A very long time ago, 20+ years IIRC, a lady was barred from running her standard poodle team in the Iditarod sled race because the organizers were afraid for the dog’s health. This was after her doing so for three years with no ill effects on the dogs. Maybe it was her finishing in the top ten and getting better every year? Can’t have poodles beating Alaskan Sled Dogs.
