Maria is not the only one to heed the call of the cookie. Give me a couple of Oreos or Nutter Butters, a butter knife and a glass of milk, and I’m a happy camper.
When I was around 3, I had to take naps. My Mom being pregnant with my sister meant she was inclined to nap also. I waited for my Mom to doze off, then sneak down the hallway, staying close to the walls so the floor didn’t creak and quietly get a chair so I could get on the counter and get a cookie from the jar on the refrigerator. Never got caught.
