So much tragedy yesterday. My sympathy for you who had to stand by while your beloveds were mercifully taken and Hooray for the mother and childs reunion.
I spent a rare heavy day doing BCN comments as I was back tracking to catch all of Kitty Katz case of the horked shoe story installments.

National Lemonade Day. And the weather forecast is for a warm day – perfect for drinking some icy cold lemonade! By the way, it hit 86° here yesterday afternoon. Right now, it’s 2:15 in the morning and it’s still 70°.
I thought the new lawn & garden person was supposed to start yesterday, but she wasn’t there. Now I heard she won’t start garden center until Monday (my day off). So, once again, I was in the department all by myself, trying to catch up on all the work I didn’t have time to do on Friday because we got so many plants in. And those new plants were all DRY and I never finished watering the older plants on Friday because I was too busy with the 3 trucks delivering new plants. And yesterday, we got in a bunch of house plants so I had to put those out too. And we had a cashier in garden center when I got to work at 2 pm, but by 3:30, they had to pull the cashier to the registers up front. I had 2 customers on Friday get mad at me because we didn’t have a cashier then either. At least yesterday, my customers were cheerful, buying LOTS of plants and nobody chewed me out because we didn’t have a cashier. It was a busy, exhausting day, but a pretty good day anyway. I expect to be as busy (or even busier) next weekend due to Mother’s Day.
You can hear my cats “thud” on the floor a halfa second after that click. 5 seconds from the front of the house, down the hallway and the stairs, to the front directly below…
It’s good to see some positive kitty interactions with each other and Annie. Chesney and Jack’s behavior is just depressing, more than funny, so often.
Mark just returned from his 2nd visit with Plopper. The Plopster was all over him again, and, I foresee a welcoming feline guided tour of the CT property once they move in and we visit.
That pink can could be Friskies Salmon Pate….one of my boys’ favorites. Oliver seems a bit wobbly on his feet. Thank you for caring, Bluebell and Jellybean.
Ah, the old can opener trick. Works every time. Wonder if it could be used to find Lupin? (He’s missing in Breaking Cat News.) On another note, saw three damselflies, four robins, a rabbit, a crow, and a dragonfly while out walking today.
When my daughter opens a can of cat food, all 3 cats come running. And her dog, Murdoch, does too. After she scoops out the food into the cats’ bowls, she rinses out the can and pours it over Murdoch’s breakfast (that he would not eat) and he gobbles it down. He’s a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. Quite a character.

Especially a cat. Mine would appear out of nowhere….one minute no cats anywhere, can opening and 2 kitties were tripping me up.

When my daughter opens a can of cat food, all 3 cats come running. And her dog, Murdoch, does too.
