    My thing is the difference between corn the day it’s picked and the day after, my parents grew corn and said it’s best if it still has “milk” in it.

    There are other food-based reactions that get a similar response. Asparagus just happens to be less challenging than some. And, of course, we’ve now lowered the level of philosophy to a more common topic of conversation.
