I feel like this country is going back decades. I watched the end of INHERIT THE WIND the other night. Trial of teacher who was teaching evolution instead of creationism. All I could think was that we are going back to that. Damn legislators are trying to turn this into a church state. I am so disgusted I could spit.

Why is it that the Regressives want smaller government … unless it is about (sh —sex). Want to write a law about owning weapons, protecting the environment, controlling massive corporate overreach? It’s not appropriate to write laws about that. BUT what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom, who you find to love, what kind of medical care you and your doctor agree to… THOSE are absoLUTELY proper targets for Repulsican laws.

AR law banning transgender girls from playing sports may cost AR a lot of money. NCAA may not award any tournament games because of the discrimination. My question is: when did this become such a big effing problem? Also, they want small government unless they are telling parents they cannot help their child with gender choices. Or a woman wants the right to choose.

Do you think that if he took a blood test, it would be positive for turnip DNA?

For too long, “looks” have been considered more important than knowledge or truth. It has bankrupted a lot of folks – both financially and morally…

The Christian right doesn’t so much hate Iran’s ayatollahs’ control over Iran as much as they are jealous of it. In fact, I’m pretty sure the Christian right approves of such control.

What is “conservative” about a government telling physicians what they can and can’t treat, or even discuss treating? It’s an outrage.

They ought to take an hour or two out of their indolent pontifications and actually read the bloody book they profess to base their ‘religious’ views upon. Where is their concern for the poor, the homeless, the sick etc. etc.. It is not your role to be the judge of all if you believe in God. That’s the job of God. Your job (if you profess to be Christian), is to do God’s work here. ‘Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God’s, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors.’ (Deuteronomy 15:11 The Message Version), for those who love to quote the old testament in regard to sexual antics.
