That’s what adblocker is for.
Use Firefox.
YouTube has become the worst. Ads right in the middle of a video. Some ads are longer than the video and cannot be skipped.
I don’t have any adblocker and have never had a screen freeze because ads were trying to load. If it had happened, I would shut that window down and start over. Problem solved.
