In the updated sequel to the novel “1984,” the citizens of Oceania buy their own personal telescreens AKA “social media devices.”
It would be easier/simpler to maintain a balance between truth and freedom of speech if opinions were clearly labeled as opinions and not allowed to masquerade as truth, … IMHO.
The goodship Truth is in trouble. This reminds me of the opening scenes of “Shogun.”
