Will we see this murderer punished? Will we see the “blue line” held accountable? Will there be any effective change in the officially sanctioned brutality against people of color???
Will this trial end any differently than any of the other murders by “law enforcement officials”???
Every time it seems that this time the obviously guilty will be held accountable. Then…they are give a pat on the back and sent back to work as if nothing of any consequence had happened.
The GOP is almost dead now with little pulse left like a knee placed on it’s neck by Trump. Never once did they say they couldn’t breathe during four years of misery. They were going to make him “Presidential”. . . . and failed knowing he was a disaster waiting to happen the day he decided to run for President.
The Rambo-ization of the modern police force is really a problem. Everyone should be really concerned about the ever-growing violence against citizens.
Exactly. IMO, Chauvin was indeed not having a good day (where have I heard THAT before?) … but he’s not paid to take out his bad day on citizens. In fact, quite the opposite.
Note that I’ve had jobs where I met the public, was required to be polite, be positive, and be tactful. And I’ve had bad days when I had those jobs. At worst I simply called the boss and told him that I couldn’t do it anymore today. (I was being paid hourly, so that part worked out). But much more often, I just settled down, got a grip, and worked carefully and with more planning at the job I was hired to do. And possibly, the customers noticed that, but they sure as heck didn’t DIE of it.
No Jeff, NOT the Minneapolis Police. A SINGLE cop. When you blame an entire force, when you perpetuate the lie about systemic racism in the department, you become the problem.
Chauvin is gone. Regardless of the trial outcome he will never work as a cop again. That was DONE last year. But the relentless anti-cop coverage has created a firestorm that will ultimately leave Minneapolis in far worse shape than before this incident. Officers are quitting, retiring or just phoning it in. The community is less safe.
Worse yet, most of the MSM failed to show the earlier segments of video. Most of the MSM failed to report on the massive amount of drugs in Floyd’s body at the time of death. This information and more will be presented by the defense and may well be enough to persuade the jury to acquit or go for the manslaughter charge.
If Chauvin gets anything less than a Murder conviction Minneapolis is going to burn…again. Never mind the facts.

More black people have been killed by police than were killed by lynching.
