And with MLB AllStar leaving Atlanta…what are the GOP doing? Cries of It’s not fair! are resounding throughout the once Great, State of Georgia. What a gang of cry-babys.
I was just looking at the Texas House Bill 7 that just passed. I’m 81 years old white male, and I have been voting by mail. It seems that I won’t be dong that anymore.
As a girl I watched the news in horror and wept as images of fire hoses were turned on, sweeping across men women and young children peacefully marching, their batons raised and lowered on those knocked down, and dogs loosened on those running in terror. If you have not seen the videos, the photos, which lose none of the awful power because they are 58 years old (it was 1963), force yourself to do so. It’s important history. Today I watch in horror as the very foundation of our republic, the process by which our democracy, is being undermined by these self-same GOPSOBs. Once again the horror returns. Thank you Mr Britt…
Republicans have declared War against American Democracy and we will fight back until every American has the right to freely cast a vote without intimidation or hindrance. In Texas they’re prosecuting a black woman who in 2016 cast a provisional ballot not realizing she wasn’t allowed to vote. Her crime was conviction of tax fraud so therefore she lost her rights to vote. We just voted out the biggest tax cheat serving as the 45th p and not a glove is laid on him

Red states are failed states. We fought Georgia in 1862 and 1962 we can fight them again in 2022.

It seems as though some things (Jim Crow practices in the Old South) never change, or do so at a snail’s pace.

There are a lot of things I like about the 20th century, but that isn’t one of them.
Maybe one day the Republican party will make it to the 21st.
