I went to the supermarket today, first time in a year…meh. I thought it would be more exciting.
Saw two bunnies chasing each other around this morning. Ah Spring. They were so cute. The temps are already in the mid 80s. I don’t like hot weather, ( I know, why am I living in the desert then) but I would get tired of the looong cold wet Springs in the PNW. Why can’t it be 72 all year?
Two years ago we had a keyless control pad installed for the garage. Last year we had the same done for the door between the garage and laundry room. Fast forward to last night: I got the last of the solar powered flowers in the pots and could see thru the kitchen window that a few weren’t lit. I put Blackjack and Moose in the bedroom, lifted the locking security bar on the slider and went outside with my phone to see about the flowers. Instead of just closing the screen, I closed the slider. I’d forgotten to flip the switch to ON for 3 of the flowers so now they’re all beautiful at night.
Tried to open the slider. Nope. Not happening. The security bar had dropped into place and locked me out. This was about 10 PM and Brad was fast asleep. He would never have heard me knocking on the door. I snuck around the house in my jammies and came in through the garage. I was never so grateful that I’d had those two keyless entries installed!
The reason we have a security bar on the slider is because the locking mechanism on it broke and can’t be fixed. I had two lock guys out to check. Instead of paying $5K for a new door (it’s not a standard size so would have to be custom made) the second guy suggested the locking bar.

Switched from Spectrum to Verizon Fios today. Idiots (FIOS) neglected to switch my home phone (they tried 3 times, got ERR message and never followed up/told me). Am frantically contacting as many folks as I can.
For cats, that’s definitely a compliment. For everyone else, not so much. Anyway, I hope the kitties are enjoying the movie. On another note, saw eleven robins, two wrens, a rabbit, and three juncos while out walking today.
