Jock, the bone thief, has his blue ribbon so why not give Yorky one of your bones? That should make Yorky feel much better. Jock might get jealous, but you can remind him he has his ribbon, and you are trying to make Yorky feel better.
One year, my daughter got the highest honor on a scholastic event. At the end of the event, she went around and congratulated the others on the jobs THEY did…without even mentioning her own.
I don’t believe in dog shows. They only exist to pander to the ego of the owners. The same applies to cat shows. I know I will get shot down in flames about this comment but those are my values and my principles.
Poor Fred didn’t win either and bassets tend to never win the televised dog shows in spite of them being one of the most beautiful breeds, but those breeds like Jock win a bunch so not surprising he’d win.
