Artist’s model can be very unique, serving as both example and muse. I once knew an artist who apprenticed young women in wood carving, provided they would pose. He specialized in beautiful, smoothly polished wood nymphs, half-out of a natural tree trunk. It must have been something to be surrounded by 3-D memories of all those women over the years.
