Project much Republicans? Still waiting for the best healthcare plan ever from Trump. You know, the one that was going to be ready in two weeks. Not to mention all the back door deals, and behind closed door Republican sessions.
The Republican mantra: Deflect, Project, Fabricate. Right now cartoons like this are deflecting from the Republicans that are rightly worried about their prosecution for their part in the insurrection at the Capital. Pretty easy to figure the ones that really, really don’t want to call it an insurrection, are likely to be found to be not only complicit, but an active part of the insurrection that occurred on January 6th. Which means, it’s very likely many of them may find indictments rightfully coming their way.
And the Biden Administration is in Theodore’s mine, an’ Theodore’s in my mine, an’ I’m in my right-wing populist, confederate flag-waving neighbor’s mind, and she’s in Bill Cassidy’s mine, and Bill Cassidy is going to his bedroom with some vasoline a stars and bar rag……….wait, he’s cutting off the cycle.
I don’t think that ol’ joe’s handlers tell him anything. They are afraid he would tell the truth about how bad things are being run now. I kind of feel sorry for him. They will use him then throw him away.
In the two months in office Biden has proved he not only has solutions, but they do work. tRump left a monumental mess which will take a monumental clean-up. Expecting 4 years of devastation to be solved in even 4 months is unreasonable and “Are we there yet?” childish.
Uh-Ted, let’s just start with you and every Republican reading HR-1, ok? That’s in the written bill that was drafted in 2018. So there’s benn plenty of time for the regressives to read it.
After we try to restore voting rights, there will be many other written bills to argue about.
As long as you aren’t suggesting that this behavior is exclusive to Democrats, I agree. Republican were all over this behavior during Obama administration. Constantly saying there was a better way on legislation like Obamacare but never actually committing to what that a better way would be. And Republicans continued to do it when dismantling Obamacare during the Trump administration….to name one instance. But there were several times they did it instead of actually putting solutions down in writing when they had the majority. And Republicans are doing it right now about stimulus. But I do find it annoying that Democrats are doing it right now while they have the presidency and majorities…albeit slim majorities. There is no guarantee that a wasted opportunity will ever come again.
US press secretary Jen Psaki has confirmed that five people have lost their jobs at the White House after admitting to past cannabis use.
So far, 14 states and the District of Columbia have legalised marijuana for adult recreational use, and 36 states permit medical use of the drug. It is still illegal at a federal level however, which acts as a barrier to obtain a security clearance if past use is admitted.
While hiring staffers earlier this year, the Biden administration asked employees to disclose past cannabis use as part of a lengthy background check, but told some of them that they would “overlook” their answer.
However, in a tweet on Friday morning, Ms Psaki explained that despite the new policy, five members of new White House staff had been fired from the administration.
Look Captain Pikes new clothes ! He can’t speak or climb the stairs on to Air Force 1 or the name of that funny shaped building across the Potomac. Thank You Ted for the honesty.
I think Rall nailed it. Rall’s cartoon echoes something stand-up comedian Will Rogers said back in the 1930s: “I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.” Rall’s cartoon speaks to that sense of Dems’ historical disorganization. And thus it continues to this day. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
In England, police roughly broke up a memorial vigil for Sarah Everard, trampling on memorial bouquets and arresting participants for violating the anti-CV19 laws.
Ms Everard was kidnapped and murdered on or about 3 March.
A cop has been charged with her abduction and murder.

Elephant Feathers, “We’ll Contest It”
[Sung by MAGA staff]
We’ll scoff at bills Dems have to show,
Our reaction to them will be NO.
Whatever one may be, we’ll contest it,
No matter the subject or who expressed it,
We’ll contest it.
.
The concept may be really fine,
But we will have to draw the line
If it’s out of the Blue, we’ll contest it.
We’re bound to belittle and detest it
And contest it.
.
Our Fearless Leader taught us well
(We’d follow Donald Trump to Hell),
Whatever he wants, we are for it,
No matter if decent people deplore it,
We are for it.
.
So don’t waste legislative time
With naive lib’ral paradigm,
Whatever you have, we’ll protest it,
Without even gnawing it through to digest it
We’ll contest it.
.
McCarthy and McConnell, too,
Think anything that’s Blue, taboo,
And won’t even seriously suggest it.
They mock and seek to infest and arrest it,
We’ll all contest it!
