For some reason, all I can think is that K-Tel records is offering a ’Bob the Squirrel Greatest Hits Album". Just send $29.95 to get yours! (Nice ear worm and art work….Thanks Frank!)
When I turned 18 I was a go-go dancer on post. Depending upon which place I was working in that night I was either on a 3ftx3ft square or on a stage that could hold the average band. I was paid hourly, plus tips. The music was provided by the jukeboxes. The soldiers picked the songs we danced to. This one guy ALWAYS picked “Stand by Me”. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT SONG IS TO TRY AND DANCE SEXY TO!?! He tipped really well, so I guess he liked what he saw. There was only one of us girls per shift. I asked some of the others and they said I was the only one he played it for. So when I hear the song my brain goes to that. Meanwhile I have followed Wil Wheaton for years on SM and he jokes the song follows him everywhere.
