Uh…what?

Context matters for sure, and nuance / complexity is the way the world really works.

Scott must be reading one of those Texas history books.

Nuance and context are not understood by Senate Republicans or 45 would have been officially denounced.

Moantuna Bull is lecturing on common sense. Sad.

Republicans are full of common scents. And it is stinking up America bigly.

Remember how anti Hillary and pro Trump Stantis was?

People like Stantis have no common sense.

Scott simply must pander those who honor and cherish a history of slavery and who engaged in a violent insurrection against the United States of America. It doesn’t take much ‘wokeness’ to grasp the basics of it.

The voters of San Francisco told their school board that if they don’t knock the woke nonsense off and focus on opening schools they’d be recalled, so the school board stopped.

We’ve watched today’s GQP destroy Lincoln, common sense, nuance and context the last decade. Distorting the context of everything a Democrat or Progressive says with the intent to gaslight on Conservative media. Display zero common sense when it comes to 1) addressing the domestic terrorism threat, 2) school mass shootings, 3) voting rights, and 4) wearing a mask in public during a health crisis. The “Woke” coalition has issues but the “Denial” coalition is far worse.

I have to agree with Mr. Stantus here. I read that some city in California has decided to remove Mr. Lincoln’s name from a school there. Where does it stop? Who decides whose sins were over the line?

This is not just about politics; it concerns the arts, for example. Kevin Spacey was (is?) a great actor. Michael Jackson was maybe the greatest pop star. Bill Cosby was funny without cursing. Am I excusing their behaviors? Absolutely not. But this, to me, shows that we shouldn’t look at the world as black and white, or as a zero-sum game.

Yep, nothing worse than attempting to make up for past wrongs… well, maybe practicing true equality would be worse…

Lying divisive Republicans are slavers and racists, they are no longer the party of Lincoln, the dictator lovers aren’t even Americans anymore.

Again, that ridiculous use of the word “woke.” Silliness.

Grown-ups understand that all men, even great ones, have flaws but they can admire those men for the good they have done. Judging anyone’s behavior has to be done in context but that seems to be out of fashion with the woke crowd.

“Woke”, “cancel culture”, “PC”. All convenient labels for those who want to avoid thinking and thereby taking the chance of finding that their position doesn’t stand investigation.

Stantis, just for fun, let’s try a little ‘common sense’ quiz:

1. Who won the presidential election?

2. Was the election stolen?

3. Who eliminated the pandemic response structure that was in place at the end of the previous administration?

4. Attempting to violently overthrow the government of the United States: is a good thing?

5. LYING about every issue: another good thing?

6. Lincoln was a Republican*. Very few people know that. Did you know that?

Yeah, because Trump had the most common sense of anyone ever?

Scott Stantis can only deal with straw men. Amazing he’s still around.

School Textbooks in Texas is a very touchy subject. A joke, really. Sort of like our Governor, whom my father liked, and our two U.S. Senators. I don’t like any of them.

It started when the leftists pushed being politically correct!

Hey Scott! Did you also draw bulldozers taking out the pillars of democracy when t**** was pretending to be ‘President’? Things like Civility, Truth, Facts, Empathy that you and your Con friends blew up in the last decade? Liberals don’t believe in nuance but Cons do? Don’t make me laugh…oh! Wait! Why do so many Southern States support and vote for ‘The Party of Lincoln’?
