Poor Rover!!I can’t see him so sad! So very sad!!

Red, how can you eat with those puppy dog eyes staring at you?

Go on! Put the bowl on the floor…

Rover’s drool looks like the milk dripping off Red’s spoon.

Our wonderful four legged friends are smaaart! The sad puppy eyes and the whoa is me walk away with the head down theatrics are quite effective. My Rugby has now taken it to a new level. The DEATH STARE! He gets really pissed if you start laughing. Hilarious

this is what most dogs do. It can be annoying to have them beg at the table, so most watch from a distance. If my puppers get anything it will be put into their bowls after we are done eating. That doesn’t always stop them from coming up and saying “I’d like a little of that when you get the chance”.

Awwww!

I think Rover should have responded, “I’m not begging.” or “I may be drooling, but I’m not begging.” How about, “I’m just here to keep you company.” or “If I was begging, you would have heard some whimpering.”

We had Schnauzer that would sit by her feeding station when I would make oatmeal for breakfast, I would make a little extra as a treat, and give it to her at the same time we would sit down to eat, that and a big piece of pizza crust were the only human food she would eat. I think of her every time I make oatmeal, and that’s over 20 years ago. Miss her….

Reminds me of a stray dog here in Montana. Grits not being something that you find here, we have grits and eggs sometimes. We had leftover grits and gave some to this dog. He went for them then didn’t eat them. Our Scottie loved them when she was alive. So I put some on my finger and put them in this dog’s mouth. She ate them up!

As a Lab owner – you got the puddles part right!

No such thing as a dog not ready to eat. It’s in the DNA.

I owned a Dingo cross (small part German Shepard but looked exactly like a dingo) for over 12 years. He was a great dog. When I had my breakfast eating cereal with milk, he would sit by my leg and peek one eye around the table leg waiting for me to give him the remaining sugar flavored milk. He never barked, but would howl sometimes and would give a loving moan when I rubbed his belly.

Our Chiweenie has to sit on the rug while we eat. It’s about that distance

I stayed at a house where the two dogs would stand at the threshold and watch silently as I ate. Must’ve been their training.

Just feed him already, Red.
