DHS’s charter must be re-worked. There is too much power concentrated in one organization. Especially since there are competing functions of some of its components.

It’s pathetically ironic: “conservatives” won’t shut up about the vital importance of (intact) families—Newt the Gingrich was grandly scornful about Hillary’s book “It Takes a Village”—but they feign deafness when anyone suggests that the government’s policies about taking kids away from their parents is profoundly hateful, if not downright barbarous. (Well, so is everything else about the Trump administration.)

Trump’s DHS separated the children from their parents/guardians, deported those parents/guardians and sent the children to places unknown without keeping any records of those destinations. “Conservative Christianity” at work.

A lot of the kids were too small to know their folks names or where home is. How do you get them back to their family?
