Whisker fatigue is simply over-stimulation of the sensory system of the whiskers. What happens when the whiskers are touched too much, even if it is basic brushing against food and water dishes, is the cat’s brain gets an onslaught of sensory messages transmitted to their brain.

It means you should feed your cat in a flatter dish.
When I have Natasha and Ash, I feed them in a very large round low bowl. And they would do the same thing. I would pick it up, shake it, and “magically” there would be food. Same thing with Vlad and Sebastian. With Oopsie and Sebastian, I’ve gotten them a smaller bowl, put into a larger bowl with a “moat” because of ants.

You ate all the “good” stuff and now you don’t want the rest?

This is a result of whisker fatigue.

Cats want full bowls so they can show how much they are ingoing them.
