That is the same reasoning that I do not talk politics and/or religion/superstition with wife and family. Besides their views do not mean anything to me, until they start trying to force them on me or others.
My cousin is also married to a guy who is a devote MAGAt. He listens to the propaganda outlets for hours a day, and she realizes that he is beyond reason. He wasn’t quite that insane 25 years ago when she married him, but the signs were there, enough so that I saw them and warned her, but she was in love. Love is a form of temporary insanity and should never be considered an adequate reason to marry someone. First dates should be preceded by long phone calls so you can find out if you are dealing with a person you can actually LIKE before the hormones take over and you decide you are in love.
